Cadence: Moving Words is a dance performance inspired by poetry.

Submissions due by 3/1/26

Step 1: Find the poetry that moves you. You do not need to have your poetry read or played during your performance, but you may if you’d like. Self-written poetry will be accepted.

Step 2: Gather your dancers and record at least 1 minute of choreography for submission—maximum 5 dancers per piece. All dancers must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Step 3: Fill out the form below with your choreography video, poetry, and choreographer information.

Step 4: Use the link below to submit your application fee. Unfortunately, submissions without payment won't be considered. Multiple submissions are allowed.

The selected pieces will be notified via email by 3/5. Each selected piece will be granted a $50 stipend for the performance. BTM will not provide rehearsal space. Each selected piece must have a 5-10 minute run time.
